Central Island Agricultural Research Institute Central Island  Agricultural Research Institute  in Bathubasti, Garacharma P.O, Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, India and was established by Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The university was established in 1978. This institute formed with merging the regional stations of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) and Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI).
